Frequently Asked Questions

ARE YOU ACCEPTING CUSTOM ORDERS?

Custom orders are full until 2024 - the next reopen date will be announced via mailing list.

HOW DO I PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER?

When orders reopen, you will be able to view all available sizes and select an option that best suits your desires and budget. To finalize your order, the total amount will be paid in full & a form will be required for you to fill out so I can see your vision in as much detail as possible. You will receive a confirmation email of your purchase, and a personal email from me 1-2 business days following to connect with you and further discuss your custom order.

HOW MUCH DOES A PIECE COST?

Pricing for work varies on multiple factors such as size, wood type, and style of work. A week prior to my orders reopening, commission offerings with corresponding sizes & pricing will be listed on my website.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes - Shipping within Canada & the US is free on orders over $150 and Worldwide shipping is offered at additional cost. Please select your country at checkout to calculate shipping costs. Any duties, import fees and/or taxes incurred upon receiving the artwork is the buyer/s responsibility.

WHAT TYPE OF WORK CAN I ORDER?

I specialize in florals, fungi, mushrooms, plants, animals, and other nature related themes, sea life, nautical inspired themes, architecture & houses. My most popular commissioned work is pet portraits (of any kind - fur, feathers, scales, etc!), though I also love to do charcuterie boards, growth charts, and sometimes special coaster orders. I do not offer portraits of people, and I do not replicate logos or another artist's work.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR WOOD?

I have found several of my suppliers from Facebook Marketplace & also source wood from local woodshops throughout the GTA in Ontario, Canada. These suppliers source wood sustainably through salvaging logs that
would otherwise be turned into mulch or firewood (waste). They turn these logs into beautiful slabs of live edge wood for woodworkers and wood-burners like myself to give them a second life.

WHAT BURNER DO YOU USE?

I use the Razertip SS-D10 dual burner.

WHAT FINISH DO YOU USE?

I love and work in partnership with Walrus Oil. I use their cutting board oil line for all charcuterie boards, and their Furniture Butter which is Tung Oil based for other pieces. Visit their site and enjoy a small discount from me using the code HANNAH10 - www.walrusoil.com
