Frequently Asked Questions
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes! For all custom orders and originals, shipping is included in the cost. For prints, limited edition starter kits, merch, stationary, or likewise, shipping is an additional cost. Please select your country at checkout to calculate shipping costs. Any duties, import fees and/or taxes incurred upon receiving the artwork is the buyer/s responsibility.
ARE YOU ACCEPTING CUSTOM ORDERS?
Custom orders will reopen to a limited capacity in Fall 2024 - the opening date will be announced to the mailing list first.
HOW DO I PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER?
When orders reopen, you will be able to view all available sizes and select an option that best suits your desires and budget. To finalize your order, the total amount will be paid in full & a form will be required for you to fill out so I can see your vision in as much detail as possible. You will receive a confirmation email of your purchase, and a personal email from me 1-2 business days following to connect with you and further discuss your custom order.
HOW ARE PIECES PRICED?
Each piece, whether it be commission or original artwork, comes to fruition with hours of selecting the perfect piece of wood, trimming excess length, sanding it, filling cracks with epoxy glue, drafting and finalizing designs, burn time, refining, touch ups, special editions such as copper, applying the appropriate finish, installing hardware for hanging, as well as time to market and document the pieces through high-quality and staged videos and photographs of both the process and final product. Additionally, my years of expertise, practice, and studied knowledge of composition and design factor into the creation of my artwork. All pieces are based off the model of the time all of the above takes x my hourly artist's rate + material and shipping cost. In the case where a commission needs to be quoted before completion, the estimate is determined by square inch.
WHAT TYPE OF WORK DO YOU MAKE?
I specialize in florals, fungi, mushrooms, plants, animals, and other nature related themes, sea life, nautical inspired themes, architecture & houses. My most popular commissioned work is pet portraits (of any kind - fur, feathers, scales, etc!), though I also love to do charcuterie boards, growth charts, and sometimes special coaster orders. I am always open to new ideas, if you have a unique idea you dont see listed above or would like to collaborate, please email me and hannahveiga.studio@gmail.com
WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR WOOD?
I have found several of my suppliers from Facebook Marketplace & also source wood from local woodshops throughout the GTA in Ontario, Canada. These suppliers source wood sustainably through salvaging logs that
would otherwise be turned into mulch or firewood (waste). They turn these logs into beautiful slabs of live edge wood for woodworkers and wood-burners like myself to give them a second life.
WHAT BURNER DO YOU USE?
I use the Razertip SS-D10 dual burner. If you are interested in purchasing my burner or my favourite pens, you can purchase them here.
