Pricing is a flat rate based on the size of the piece, and includes all elements you wish to have incorporated into your design. Hannah will fill up your piece with specifications given in a way that works with the wood & your imagery. Upon placing your order, a required Customization Form will be sent to your email.

Let's bring your idea to life! You may add text, names, dates, background imagery, merge more than one photo together, portraits, a custom piece inspired by an original concept of Hannah's work, etc. If you have any questions prior to ordering, you may email  hannahveiga.studio@gmail.com.

Within 1-3 business days of placing your order, Hannah will be in touch through email to further discuss your order. She will create a digital compositional sketch, which will then be sent to you for your approval prior to beginning your piece. The sketch represents outlines and placement of your desired concept, shading and finer details will be rendered on the wood itself. Clear communication and updates are provided throughout the process!

Wood & Finishes:

Kiln dried, live edge cherry is used for this commission option. Every piece is sanded to 320 grit to ensure a super soft-luxe feel. The finished piece will be sealed with a non-toxic polycrylic to protect the wood and art. 

Payment:

All amounts are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and to be paid in full to purchase a custom order. An order confirmation & customization form will be sent to your email. Most payment types are permitted at checkout.

Return & Refund Policy:

Order cancellations are accepted until Hannah begins your order. Cancelling your order will forfeit your spot in her commissions and a refund will be processed within 1-3 business days. Refunds are no longer permitted once Hannah has started to work on your order.

Custom orders are not eligible for returns - Hannah maintains communication throughout the order process and multiple images are sent to ensure you are happy with your piece every step of the way. Appropriate adjustments can be made to your liking at any point in the process right until the finish is applied.

Some countries have strict policies on live edge wood being imported. If you do not see your country listed at check out, please email hannahveiga.studio@gmail.com and I will investigate into your country's customs policies.

Process

All original and custom art is diligently designed, drawn and hand-burned by pyrography artist Hannah Veiga. She has spent years honing her skills as an artist and practicing the techniques she uses today to render distinctive compositions inspired by the nature that surrounds us, giving sustainably sourced wood a second life as unique works of art.

Each piece of wood is cut and sanded by Hannah up to a super smooth 320 grit to create the perfectly primed surface for burning. Using a state of the art wood burning system, the artist yields heat-controlled metal tips to manipulate burn marks into an intricate, hand-drawn design.

A UV protective finish is applied to nourish the wood and ensure the integrity of the artwork.

Specifications

The wood used is raw-cut and live-edge, kiln dried to a low moisture reading and then sanded up to 320 grit by Hannah.

Dimensions listed are in inches, measured from edge to edge of the wood including the bark. Measurements will be shown as Height x Width x Depth.

Each piece is finished with a hook on the back, appropriate to hold the weight of the piece. Hardware for handing is not included. For heavier pieces over 5lbs it is recommended to use a drywall plug/anchor.

Shipping Information

Please allow 5 business days for Hannah to prepare the order for shipment - this timeframe also includes application of desired sealants and drying time. (For custom artwork, this shipping timeframe begins once the artwork is completed).

Shipping within Canada can take 1-7 business days, USA orders 5-10 business days and International orders up to 3 weeks. This may vary based on time to get through customs and cannot be guaranteed. Shipping of original artwork may not be available to your country doe to customs restrictions; for example, Australia has very strict guidelines on import of live edge wood, which does not allow me to send original or custom artwork. If you do not see your country at check out, please contact us.

Care Instructions

Always handle artwork with freshly cleaned and dry hands. Keep artwork away from food/liquids as all pieces are made as decorative pieces, not intended for food or outdoor use unless otherwise stated.

While all pieces are sealed with a UV protective finish, it is still recommended that you choose a spot to display in your home so that the art is not exposed to direct sunlight for prolongued hours of the day.
