I created this piece during a particularly difficult season of life over the past two months, and when I first started it, it was intended to be a light-hearted rendering of the first blooms of spring. However, as my life shifted midway through its creation, so did this piece's meaning. When I sat down and finally got to wood burn again, it felt like a return to myself. It felt like the only sense of home amongst nothing else being familiar anymore. It felt like healing. As I wrapped up on finishing this piece, I added in the silver linings (copper leaf), sat back to see what I'd managed to create through a hurricane where nothing else felt comfortable or normal, I could see it. It became a safe haven, a warm memory, a glimmer of hope, for What Lies Ahead.

Print Process and Materials

Prints are made using archival inks on premium, acid-free and lignin-free 100% cotton rag fine art paper. This ensures vibrant, long-lasting colour and detail, providing you with as close to a true-to-life reproduction of the original artwork as possible.

Sizing and Framing

All dimension options listed are in inches, inclusive of a small white border.

The framed option (select size + frame), is a made-in-house walnut frame, that comes right to the edge of the paper so the white border is still visible. Plexiglass is used, which will create a slight reflection.

You can also get the print professionally framed yourself in your own choice of frame material and glass!

Shipping

All print variations ship internationally. Shipping is free within Canada and the US and International shipping fees will be added at checkout.

It may take up to 5 - 10 business days for your order to be prepared and ready for shipment. For orders within Canada & the US, shipment may take up to 7 business days, and International shipping can take up to 2 weeks.

When removing your print from the packaging, please open gently with clean, dry hands.

Stunning

I love this print! It captures all the beautiful, tiny details of the original (a true hallmark of Hannah's work). The forest scene is so beautiful, calming, and easy to get lost in. The canvas feels high quality and has been stretched and attached well to the frame. It even comes with a hanger - I put it on my wall the same day I received it!
